It was a fine turnout at JRC (RunORC.com) last week after the dismal showing of the week before (We Were All Sober [iCandybyWangC.com and others]). We debated the merits of the Submarine Route then got store Keith to take our picture.
A word about Keith: He knows the drill on the attendance photo. ‘One and done and you all are out of here.’ Did he even look to see that Shoshana could have broken a grin like everyone else with a simple prompt or that my eyes were closed? SMH. Probably not, but perfection is not the point; who’s in attendance is.

A word about the Submarine Route: It’s the scene of more than one mishap — the one that contributed to its nickname, Murder Hill Route, and the one that led to CC’s injury (Run Report [Facebook]).
A word about CC: The last time he did the Submarine Route with us he managed to pull a calf muscle so severely Mrs. J’Adam had to provide emergency transport service. He didn’t go to the hospital and he did consult a physical therapist, but he’d been out since the 12’17’W run.
A word about the abbreviation for the Submarine/Murder Hill Route: SMH and “smack my head” in textspeak find the kind of convergence that makes me very happy. SMH Route is the first with its own gesture now, one that is fitting for manifold reasons, especially when the picture tracks alongside.
