The State of the Newsletter (#223: ZY Weekly Newsletter 6/14/26)

Based on polling data

[1 MIN READ]

In a recent poll of what SRC club runners like in the Zen Yanni Weekly Newsletter, 2 of the top features were Runnin’ Off at the Mouth and Themz Who Was There (ShawmontRunningClub.com). It seems that those who favor them like the inspirational quality of the quips and quotes (in the former) and the ability to confirm names of other run attendees (in the latter).

This here little Ruminations feature received some recognition, but there was bias because I (who write many of them) was the one doing the polling during one of the runs. The polling sample was extremely small — 2 were the other runners I was with — so it’s okay to view the responses with skepticism. Two other runners said they were getting too long; as a result, this was the next piece: SRC Run Report: Tony Abridged Version (iCandybyWangC.com and elsewhere unless otherwise specified).

Just as well, because these next few weeks are likely to be pretty spare of content just because I’ll be unable to do my share with the publishing.

If this troubles and saddens you, be sure to let Ted know when you show up to run and add your opinion to the polling data.
