Introducing CC (#333: 2025’12’03’W)

The bandwagon is fuller by another passenger

[1½ MIN READ]

CC started running with the Growlers a mere month ago bringing much to appreciate. He met Scottsy-Totsy at the club soccer team where both of their sons play. He was a long-time runner who had fallen off the wagon and was ready to climb back on again.

Like other Growlers who got to running in earlier days, he’s brought a sense of his abilities that he knows he can reengage. Running with us has already allowed him to chip away at his pace. We’ve been running right along with him and cheering his progress the way that a running crew can (this iCandybyWangC website).

Coming from advertising, he brings vocational breadth that has already led conversation in enlightening directions. We’ll be watching the Super Bowl ads this year with special attention to PETA’s commercial. He’s shared the kind of details that only a media content creator can, which will make tuning in that much more captivating.

Pandora and Spotify make it possible for aficionados of all generations to enjoy music from different eras. Still, it takes a special listener to know some of the slightly deeper cuts. The musical reference from the attendance photo last week is one he (and a few others, fersher) won’t miss.

Personally, his trailtag carries a special significance to me. Nicknames are particularly useful when someone joins the running club with the same name as another runner, as was the case with him, Christian, and a predecessor. Another CC I knew, at another time and in another place, continues to generate good memories. I’m happy to connect the 2 CC’s together in my experiential bank.

Welcome back to the wagon, runner. We’ll keep looking for other interesting and inviting points of connection as long as you’re willing to hang on for the ride with us.
