GGR is Consistently about Community (#244: 2024’02’14’W)

Audibly, if not socially

[<1 MIN READ]

Hanging out after the weekly run, with a little alcohol in the veins, I spilled my guts about receiving a diagnosis of adult ADHD within the previous few days. It’s something I’d suspected because of anger issues (I know! I’m such an even-keeled guy! Not rly, but distraction helps with recovery.). It seems people with ADHD are more prone to anger issues; something about similar neural pathways.

Tangentially related was a conversation about porches and hanging out in those spaces. Jason’s own house is 2 short blocks away from mine and over the SEPTA tracks along Baeder Road. He claimed the trains weren’t that disturbing since they only ran once an hour. The bigger issue was the yelling he could hear from my house. “You canNOT hear me from my house,” I retorted with mock indignation.

Jason, himself also with a little alcohol in his veins, responded with a little less mock: “Your voice carries.”
