While WWW has been at Human Robot for reasons elucidated elsewhen, there has been one other destination since the inception of the tradition. HR has many degrees of appeal, but Pizza Wheel doesn’t have the more-than-occasional loud band. It does have a Wednesday-night $10 cheesesteak special and an even more appealing proximity to JRC of ½ the travel distance.
Bill’s Best also has great beers, but it’s over in Glenside. It does happen to be home turf for Jason (what with his pottery studio right next door). With some free-beer coupons, the degrees of appeal increase again. At 2 miles from JRC, along a route we’ve done before (Backyard), it may be in the cards to give it a shot for 12’20’W, next week.
Extra degree of appeal: A full belly of beer sets us up well for conducting our own Beer Mile events.
