• More about my running and writing •
[2 MIN READ]
Last week’s Cerebrun was about the running writing I’ve been doing for this feature of the GGR weekly message (#203). Back in December (#185), I shared about being able to read them collectively at Running @ iCandybyWangC. Face it; if you want to reread a previous Cerebrun, you could go back through your email and through each weekly message to find it. Or, assuming you use Facebook regularly, you could browse the entries on the Growlers Group Run page. But for sheer convenience, you can just go down to FINE PRINT at the end of each piece and click on the Cerebruns by CtCloser link there.
At Cerebruns, you can find every piece I’ve written back to 2018 when I started. If you’ve been reading for a while, you can browse back for something that you liked. Or you can learn more about the group from before you joined. There’s even a developing, fully linked subject index. Go ahead; check it out. In fact, that’s exactly what one of you did in particular that I found out after wondering aloud why my website stats went up so abruptly. An increase of 1 visitor a day to 10 is a big deal.
Running writing has been good for my writing in general. You can check out Ruminations that I also started writing for the Saturday run group I attend at Forbidden Drive, Fairmount Park in Philly. When you do go to iCandybyWangC, maybe you’ll want to check out my non-running writing. I’m confident you’ll find it equally thoughtful.
Interestingly, I had a chance to do a workshop about THUD, one of my Models of Interpretation, and showed the participants where they could read about it at iCandybyWangC. One participant made an observation that you all pretty much know already: There’s a lot of running writing. There’s so much and with such breadth, that I was able to use one of these very Cerebruns as an illustration for What’s to Be Done About It: Distraction is a Real Strategy (#164). If you go and read that, you’ll see the name of the very Growler who themself decided to check out about the group from the days before they joined.
