• Ditching those we love for something else we love •
[<1 MIN READ]
The smaller turnout last week brought attention to the fact that 4 significant absences were of 2 specific couples. “That’s funny. At least one is usually here. Ah, Valentine’s Day.” How romantic! Well then, what about the rest of us who also each have significant others?
Runner 1: “I made brown-butter lemon salmon which turned out amazing.” Ah, how romantic.
Runner 2: “We had sushi out. The parents came and babysat so it was just us 2.” ‘Ey, how romantic!
Runner 3: “We don’t make that much of a deal about Valentine’s Day.” Uh, how romantic?
In the end, we abandoned each of our SO’s to run with the Growlers—which was the ultimate act of love from them—so we could do what else we love: Another lap around the Jenkintown Sunset 5K route.
