Despite a snowstorm that cancelled schools the day before and sub-freezing weather the day of, 6 Growlers showed up last Wednesday to run the roads of Jenkintown doing the usual Sunset 5K route. I say “roads” literally, because those are what were consistently clear, what with sidewalks being sketchy. Not only was none of us willing to sacrifice run time, but neither were we willing to sacrifice WWW time at Human Robot by doing 2x; so 1x it was. Six of us then also weathered the weather at Human Robot. It was rough actually being able to hear each other in the absence of any band.
Btw, it was sensational to see that Elkins Park Beer Runner’s Jane is now a staff member at JRC! Welcome, Jane! It’s important for you to remember to turn a conspicuous blind eye to us Growlers when the weekly libating begins there at the store outside of WWW’s. Maybe, I’m already saying too much. Maybe?! I just gave away the whole weekly drill. Well, it’s not as if you don’t already have a feel for it from EPBR! We’ll be seeing more of you!
