WWW on 12’20’W revealed that Jason and I have respective family members in Columbia MD. We decided to meet and run while we were both down there for the holidays.
When it came time to execute, it may have been the sacrifice of quality time with family that made us balk. It may have been the conviction that we’ve been running hard (I know I have) and would benefit from the break that did it. It may have been the hassle of trying to agree on a route.
It turns out that the weather system that “sogged” the Growlers in Jenkintown also reached Columbia MD, 2 hours south. We 2 traveling Growlers didn’t even argue with each other. It was emphatically the rain that made us even more than balk. We bailed. Running degrees of appeal: 0. Resting degrees of appeal: 1. Columbia families degrees of appeal: 2. We salute the home team for not bailing, even if they probably balked, too.
