WWW at Human Robot, Again? (#222: 2023’09’13’W)

Not just because we’ve always done it that way

[1 MIN READ]

In anticipation of Wickedly Wet Wednesday (3rd of every month.), Jason asked the question, Why do we decamp to Human Robot every time? (Not his exact wording.)

It wasn’t about getting beer, which we can do in the Jenkintown Running Company store with no resistance from the staff (Resistance is futile.). It wasn’t about going out to get a bite every so often (Change is good.). The question was about that particular restaurant bar; after all there are others around, all within pretty easy walking distance of JRC.

The degrees of appeal are manifold. The most important degree is the brews; varied and quality. A second degree is the food; reasonably priced, tasty, unique, and well portioned. A third degree is the setting; clean, spacious, and uncrowded (No doubt helped by our mid-week visits.). A fourth degree is that it’s easy to order and pay using the app.

But the most important degree of appeal, magnified in combination with all the others, is that it’s close. I whine. Who wants to hear someone whine? (Save it for the run.) Certainly not Jason.
