Serving the Club More

Alumni, unite!

[2 MIN READ]

For unfamiliar readers, Coalition for Christian Outreach hosts an annual student conference in Pittsburgh called Jubilee (JubileeConference.com). It is a Christian conference cast in an academic hue; appropriate given its primary audience.

ACF attends this mid-February event every year. One of its carnal pleasures is the munchies bag that we assemble for each participant. In the past we’ve used CCO’s ACF ministry funds to pay for the granola bars, gummy worms, Oreos, and other munchables.

In 2026, our tack for underwriting Jubilee bag o’munchies was based on Nancy’s brilliant idea to invite local club alums to make donations of actual stuff to munch. This made for a uniquely emotional, social, and spiritual connection between those of you alums who were encouraged and strengthened by your attendance at Jubilee in the past and those who were themselves about to experience the same blessing in the present.

Share this post with someone you want to know more about ACF and its support by CCO.

Not every one of youse can contribute the way the 2026 Jubilee donors did, but each can be a part of the continuing blessing that is Arcadia Christian Fellowship. That way is to extend yourselves through financial partnership. It doesn’t have to be a lot (but it can be!); just show your love and appreciation by engaging with us this way!

The standard “Join the AU Alumni Association!” pitch is important, but it lacks the biblically spiritual component. If I may be so bold, let others do that supporting. (Interestingly, they actually do to a small degree, but in an extremely indirect way and that only if they give to the general fund, which supports Student Affairs’ budget for ACF.)

CCO has a ministry account for ACF as a club (CCOJubilee.org). There are also ones for Nancy and Calvin (me, oc) as staff. As for which of us 2, choose your pick (Who do you love?!), but start somewhere, ministry or ministry leader. Give monthly for all the reasons that doing so is good (commitment is a biggie) and loving (your fave AU club).

Take note that this kind of giving is over and above giving to the house of worship that you faithfully attend. You do have one don’t you? (If not: Who Needs the Local Church? [from an ACF perspective])

There are a lot of nuances here relative to giving as a Follower of Jesus. Why don’t you holler, alum? It would be great to hear from you: Contact.
