Weekly club meetings for ACF take place every Friday at noon with lunch provided. It may seem like the food appears miraculously. And in some ways, it does!
I’m thinking Elijah and the ravens here, 1 Kings 17:2-6 (Biblegateway.com). In that account, God sends his prophet on the lam from evil King Ahab (yes, the namesake for Moby Dick’s great human nemesis) and provides for him divinely while he lams [sic].
CCO’s Ministry Leaders have budgets to work with that are completely separate from the club’s own institutional budget (as provided by Arcadia University. iCandybyWangC.com, Arcadia.edu). Those CCO staff members have individual staff accounts with funds they can use to underwrite expenses like food.
Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO [CCOJubilee.org]) which provides ministerial support to ACF has an Arcadia University “Ministry Account” for expenses unrelated to individuals (iCandybyWangC.com and elsewhere unless otherwise stated). That budget has made it possible for the fellowship to cater lunches from noshable [sic] places like Chipotle, Panda Express, Popeye’s, and Wawa, among others (Go, find the links yourselves.). What’s not to love about that?!

If you think that can get kinda expensive, you’re right. Enter our hospitality-gifted donors, those friends who prepare homemade lunches from their own funds. Because of them, we’ve enjoyed cheesesteak and deli sandwiches, meatball hoagies, and taco soup (the legumitousness [sic]!), among others. What’s not to love about that?!
The point is that ACF benefits from donations of all kinds. I speak confidently for all the students: “THANK YOU, Ravens!”
